The Ego of Bill - Looks like Billy "Blue Dress" Clinton can't stand not being in the spotlight. I guess he thinks that his "legacy" is in jeopardy; and a grand legacy it is.
Well The American Prowler reports that Billy "Blue Dress" is working on getting Billy "Deep Pockets" Gates to fund a trip to the dark continent so that he can show how much he cares. The Prowler reports a former Clinton White House staffer as saying,
"He's looking to get credit for all the work he did -- and does -- on the issue of AIDS. We did much more than the Bush people have done, but you'd never know it. President Clinton deserves all of the credit for pushing this issue to the forefront of our national consciousness."
I guess the real reason on why we will never know it is because it only occurred in the mind of Billy "Blue Dress." The Prowler gives a good insight into Billy's real reasoning when he writes,
"Evidently Clinton is concerned that a too-successful Bush team means less money from foundations and others for his own projects. But with his interest in press coverage, it also appears to be just another attempt by the diminished one to get some spotlight time back on himself."
Funny too, is how it was impeached Billy "Blue Dress" and his administration who went after Billy "Deep Pockets" Gates and his Microsoft behemoth as a monopoly. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when Billy "Blue Dress" starts begging Billy "Deep Pockets" for a chance to dip into the money bin. After all, "Blue Dress" knows how deep those pockets are.
