Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland - Are the kids stressing you out in the classroom or at home? Are you bored and stuck in rush hour traffic moving at a pace that has never known the meaning of "rush?" Or are you just lonely for the voice of another species?
Well, soon your worries will be over. The Shannon Dolphin and Wildlife Foundation is about to set up a system that will allow you to dial in from anywhere in the world and listen to the sounds of dolphins in the estuary. The suggestion is made that the whistles and clicks of the dolphins will help relieve stress and possibly,"lead to a greater understanding of the life of dolphins and could prove helpful to dolphin-watchers who will be able to check if the creatures are in the Shannon estuary before starting out from shore."I'm thinking it might also be a fund raising measure. A cool fund raising measure.
