Jupiter, FL - WND.com reports that George Andres, a veteran Marine, is going to have his house sold out from underneath him on October 9th by his homeowners association. Why? Because he erected a twelve-foot tall flag pole and displayed the American flag which symbolizes all he fought for during his time in service. The homeowners association has a rule prohibiting such displays and Andres erected his patriotism against their rule. A court battle had been ongoing and now the court has decided the association can collect their attorney's fees and fines from the sale of Andres's home.
During the interim, Governor Jeb Bush, seeing the plight of Andres, signed a bill into law that the Florida Congress gave him which gives residents the right to fly Old Glory in the face of any stupid association edicts. The only problem is that the lean was placed upon Andres home before the law could be signed and the court has ruled in favor of the association. WND.com is reporting that George Andres attorney suggested he settle before losing his home but Andres has said,
"They said remove the flag and the flagpole, and that is not a compromise. I'm 66, and I don't have much left anyhow. We have to go ahead and fight."The Great Separation continues.
