Henry VIII Returns - Does anyone else get the whiff of a prankster? Well, not if you believe in disembodied spirits of people.
A closed circuit security camera at the famous home of Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace, has captured what some are describing as an eerie presence closing some exit doors.
Apparently some unknown and unseen person or ghost (you choose) kept throwing open a pair of fire exit doors. On the first incident the security guards closed the doors. One the second incident this ghost closed the doors for them leaving his weird image on the closed circuit TV footage.
A guard is quoted on Ananova™ news story:
"I was shocked when the CCTV footage showed an eerie figure in period dress in the doorway. It was incredibly spooky because the face just didn't look human."My first reaction was that someone was having a laugh, so I asked my colleagues to take a look. We spoke to our costumed guides but they don't own a costume like that worn by the figure. It is actually quite unnerving!"
And actually quite good for tourism.
Makes for a good oddity too.
