Sacrilege? You Bet. - PETA is at it again. I really think these people are crazy. In an attempt to convince folk that everyone should be vegetarian they have purchased a billboard in Providence, Rhode Island, where stats say there is a higher percentage of Catholics than anywhere else in the U.S.A.
The TV News program NBC 10 reports on their website turnto10.com:
The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is urging people to go vegetarian with a billboard that shows the Virgin Mary cradling a chicken carcass.The billboard, seen by motorists near exit 4 on Interstate 195 in East Providence, includes the phrase, "Go Vegetarian. It's an Immaculate Conception."
Someone, rather upset over the billboard, spray painted the word "Shame!!" in big letters across it.
To which I give a hearty, 'Amen!'
