I Guess Terrorists are Too Hard - Julie Stahl, the Jerusalem Bureau Chief for CNSNews.com, has a very shocking report on an incident in Egypt.
It would appear there is a rule in Cairo, Egypt, that says that a building cannot be within 325 feet of the Cairo-Suez road. This includes walls that surround a compound. It is a law that was passed last year. Which is a problem for the Patmos Christian Center which looks after orphans and people who are handicapped, mentally or physically. The Center's wall is within 163 feet of the road and it was built within the law ten years ago. But this doesn't seem to matter to the military who have singled out the center despite other buildings in the area, such as Mosques, being in violation of the new law.
Stahl reports:
Some 500 soldiers and two bulldozers assaulted the Patmos Christian Center for an hour on Monday, blocking the entrance to the compound with a large pile of stones and rubble and destroying seven meters (23 feet) of an adjoining wall, the British-based Barnabus Fund said in a statement. When workers on the compound rushed out to prevent the army from entering the property, soldiers threw bottles and stones at them.
During the fray, a bus plowed into a crowd, killing Kirilos Daoud and injuring seven other people, one critically. A nun reportedly was injured when soldiers beat her. The head of the Christian center, Bishop Botros, was unharmed.
Do not fail to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world who face persecution on a daily basis.
The Great Separation continues.
