Inviting Satan into The Church.

Are the end times really all that far away? - Vessel of Honor blogger Mac Swift has a particularly powerful post on how some in the 'Popular Church' today are teaching falsehoods based in false religions.

He takes a look at the itinerary of the recent National Pastors Convention. It's a very enlightening read that I highly recommend. One of the folk he takes to task is Rick Warren of Purpose Driven Life.

Here's a snippet:

It's been said before that one can know the character of a man by the company that he keeps. And the company Rick Warren keeps is appalling, to say the least.

I'm convinced without any shred of doubt that Rick Warren is a false shepherd. Regardless of his popularity right now, the word of God has sealed his fate, and God will eventually visit him in judgment for propagating the deceptions of Satan.

Satan is at work in the Church here in America along with much of the Western World and that work is ever increasing because many are following their itching ears and not the Word of God.

2 Timothy 4: 2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

There is a great separation brewing not only in regard to the world and the Church, but in the Church as well.

And that separation is between the true believers in Christ and the pretenders.

The Sin of Homosexuality Agenda.

Oh, I figured that's what you wanted. - WorldNetDaily™ has in article that exposes the agenda and tactics of homosexuality activists via their own words.

Here's a snippet:

"We would set up a [political action committee] and go in and terrify them with a credible challenge. ... So we go in, for a modest investment of money and torture these people, which would give me endless satisfaction. And the word would go out very quickly, 'You know what, this really isn't worth it."

The fellow human quoted, is Matt Foreman. He's the executive director of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (kind of sounds like a war time coalition). He explains that their goals go beyond same sex marriage. They hope to force "public and private financial benefits" via other means too.

Gun Safety Talk Gets Federal Agent Shot in Leg.

Oops. I thought it wasn't Loaded. - A federal drug agent was giving a talk before a group of students and adults on the subject of gun safety. A good thing, right?

You bet.

And the kids really leaned why gun safety is so important with a very real demonstration.

WFTV.com reports:

[The un-named DEA agent] drew his .40-caliber duty weapon and removed the magazine, according to the police report. Then he pulled back the slide and asked someone in the audience to look inside the gun and confirm it wasn't loaded, the report said.

Witnesses said the gun was pointed at the floor and when he released the slide, one shot fired into the top of his left thigh.

You got to feel sorry for that DEA agent. A very embarrassing situation. It's a good thing it was just his thigh that got hit.

Supermarket Store Pulls Christian Owned Newspaper from Shelves.

Watch your head. Double Standard at work. - Kroger supermarkets pulled the free newspaper, The Southeast Outlook, from their store racks in Louisville, TN.

It seems the supermarket has a policy against religious or political magazines and newspapers on their free racks. The magazine in question is published by the Southeast Christian Church and has been on the Kroger racks for a year.

32WLKY reports Kroger made the following statement:

"When one political or religious organization's representatives or publications are permitted in our stores, then Kroger is placed in the uncomfortable position where we must include them all."

But Ninie O'Hara, the executive editor of the magazine had this to say according to 32WLKY:

"We're a newspaper," she said. "We provide news and information and stories just like the (free weekly Louisville Eccentric Observer, a free alternative weekly newspaper.)"

LEO recently had a cover image of Jesus Christ holding a basketball with the headline, "The Real Passion."

O'Hara said the image, as well as LEO's personal ads and advertising, offended many Christians.

"I think we offer a balance," she said, characterizing her publication as a family oriented newspaper. "LEO would not tell you they are a family oriented newspaper. They have a different audience."

So LEO stays and The Southeast Outlook goes.

Canadian Governor General Makes Bill C-250 Law.

The spiral continues. - LifeSite.com is reporting that Canada's Governor General signed into Law the bill that makes it a hate crime speak out in public against sexual orientation.

LifeSite.com reports that Dr. Charles McVety, the president of Canada Christian College and the Canada Family Action Coalition had this to say about the hate crime bill:

"Paul Martin and his Liberal team adopted Private Member's Bill C-250 and pushed it through the Senate to become law just in time to pave the way for a new election. Now criticism of the redefinition of marriage may be a criminal offense punishable by up to two years in prison."

LifeSite.com goes on to question how this new law will affect literature coming into the country from religious groups and organizations:

The hate crime provisions of the Criminal Code are used by the federal postal agency to prohibit importation of materials deemed under the legislation to constitute hate propaganda. With groups like Focus on the Family, Concerned Women for America, and other pro-family groups shipping pro-family materials into Canada the new law also creates concern that the materials may be subject to interception, seizure and forfeiture as 'hate' materials by Canada Post.

I suppose this could include The Word of God too.

Canadian Senate Passes Hate Speech Law on Sin of Homosexuality.

A nation going down hill fast. - Well, we had some good news in the previous post on the U.N., so I guess this is the bad news.

The Canadian Senate - as expected - passed Bill C-250.

This bill will make speaking against the sin of homosexuality in public a crime. Not only that, the bill makes it a hate crime to speak publically against any sexual orientation. Which means, I guess, that pedophilia, bestiality, and incest will also soon be protected perversion rights.

CBC News reports:

Senators voted 59-11 to pass the private member's bill, sponsored by NDP MP Svend Robinson.

It just awaits approval by the Governor General.

Bush Scores Moral Victory at U.N. Over Homosexuality and Abortion.

A battle won. - Steve Jordahl is reporting for Family News in Focus that a key battle for morality and family was won recently at the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.

In the commission there was a resolution to make the sin of homosexuality and abortion international human rights.

Apparently a lot of pressure was brought to bare from several nations that wanted this law passed. The nations were not named.

It seems the President Bush was very influential in opposing the resolution.

Jordahl quotes a U.N. diplomat on the resolution and Bush:

"The overall impression was that the immoral agenda of the deviants was not a good thing for humanity and for human beings generally," said Dr. Farooq Hassan, a U.N. diplomat and former member of the commission. "I think President Bush's personal intervention in this matter has been a great help, and there's no doubt that the weight the Untied States has put behind this entire agenda (helped)."

Noted is that the issue will likely be raised again next year when the commission meets again in an attempt by the "deviants" to force it upon the rest of the world.

Just one more reason to make sure Bush gets re-elected this year.

Africa's Day of Prayer is Sunday. Spread the Word!

Psalms 27:8 | When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. - The Lord of Hosts gave a vision to an South African business man, a vision of prayer that would cover then entire continent of Africa. That vision started to unfold four years ago in the Cape Town, South Africa, and it looks like this Sunday it will be fulfilled.

CharismaNow reports:

Millions are expected to gather this Sunday for what may be the greatest act of united prayer by Christians in the history of the African continent. The Africa Day of Prayer is expected to draw 15 million to 30 million participants in hundreds of stadiums of all 58 African nations and islands.

What a wonderful day this will be. Let's join this Godly event in prayer for the people of this continent.

Golden Eagle Flies Off with Bear Cub.

Animal Oddity. - Scientists are all a twitter over what they are billing as a one in a life time event. I'm not so convinced.

The extraordinary event was reported by two Park Rangers. Yahoo!® News has the AFP report:

Two park rangers on a weekend patrol in the Lierne region of central Norway saw the eagle swoop down on the cub as it trotted along behind its mother and carry it away, one of the rangers told public broadcaster NRK.

A golden eagle normally weighs about six kilogrammes (13 pounds), while the bear cub was said to have weighed about half that.

Zoologists are all a twitter because they claim it is a first, or rather the first they've ever heard of such a thing happening.

But frankly I don't find the event all that surprising.

In one breath the zoologists say that it was commonly understood that the bears had no predators in the animal kingdom but in another they say that the bear mothers are fierce protectors of their young.

Hello! If they are fierce protectors than what the heck are the protecting against.

Good grief get your nose out of the labs and books and get some common sense.

The animal kingdom, to use a cliche, is a dog eat dog world. Or in this case, Predatory Bird eats Predatory Bear world.

Pro-Abortion Activists Attack Pro-Life Activists. Blood Flows.

Violence? Is it all that surprising? - Recently at a John Kerry Campaign rally in D.C. five pro-life female students from George Washington University were man-handled by pro-abortion woman from NARAL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League).

The pro-life woman legally obtained tickets from the Kerry Campaign, so they had a right to be there.

Some in the pro-choice crowd took up a chant that went,

"What do we want? Choice! When do we want it? Now!"

Well, the pro-life students interrupted the second round of chanting by answering,

"Life!"

That upset the NARAL women who then encircled the pro-life students and physically dragged the students from the crowd.

One of the students required medical attention to her foot after losing her flip-flop.

Steven Ertelt of LifeNews.com has the story and pictures:

The abortion advocates dragged her barefoot over a rough gravel surface that caused her foot to bleed so much that Edmiston required medical attention afterwards.

The Kerry staff and security did not step in to stop the scuffle. It was a police officer outside the event that provided the immediate medical attention.

In another article by Steven Ertelt on LifeNews, Ertelt has the reports and pictures from two photographers at the campaign rally. Pro-Abortion activists attempted to deny the photographers the ability to photograph the event closely.

One photographer was even injured:

At the time the scuffle began and the women found themselves dragged away by abortion supporters, Martin wasn't close to the action. As he moved in to begin taking pictures, rally participants tried to stop him. Before he could grab a shot, one person with a pro-abortion sign hit him on the head and he began bleeding.

Ertelt reports Kerry's reaction:

As the students were marched away, Leuders said Senator Kerry paused briefly "and awkwardly" to look in their direction. He then continued on with his speech.

Should it really be any surprise that these women would turn to violence and the stifling of free speech? Should it really be any surprise that Kerry is not man enough to lead his followers in peaceful displays of free speech?

Abortion on demand is one of the ingredients that Satan has successfully used in this country to cheapen America's perception on the sacredness of life. That degradation of life has led to a culture of violence and hopelessness and the ultimate goal is anarchy and death.
