Science Foresees. - The dirty word of "prediction" in earthquake science, may not be so dirty anymore.
Vladimir Keilis-Borok, UCLA, and his research team have been right twice before when it comes to predicting earthquakes.
The team at UCLA's Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics accurately predicted a 6.5-magnitude quake in central California last December as well as an 8.1-magnitude temblor that struck the Japanese island of Hokkaido in September.
Now Vladimir and his team are predicting that a quake at the minimum of 6.4 on the Richter scale will strike the in the deserts east of LA by September 5th of this year.
The clock is ticking. But will it strike the bell?
Time will tell on this Separation of a different kind.
