Graphic documentary featuring Princess Diana's final moments after the car crash that took her life is to be aired on June 6th.
It's creating quite the firestorm and I can understand why. I see no redeeming reason to air such a thing.

It would appear someone else is out to make some dough off of the death of Princess Diana. This time it's an Italian magazine called, Chi, and some French writer.
It would appear the printing of her death photograph has the purpose of selling a book. Here's a link to the news article: FURY AT 'LAST PHOTO' OF PRINCESS DIANA.
The photo accompanies an article about a new book by French crime writer Jean-Michel Caradec’h who has been examining the princess’s death.

Polictical Motivation Anyone? - It was out of the blue for me to see that CBS was going to air paparazzi photos of Princess Diana in her final moments.
I mean, come on. Why in the world would you want to do it. It's not exactly "NEWS" worthy, since the event, as sad as it is, is long past over. Even the 6,000 page report by the French police is almost four months old.
So why do an hour long program on the death of British Royalty on "48 Hours," an American News Program? It's not like Americans have any stake in Princess Diana.
Ratings?
Well, immediately, that might be the short term answer. But I think there might be a deeper motivation.
Relations.
I'm thinking that there might be some political manipulation at work. A desire to sour the British-American relation (think Bush-Blair, pressure, re-election) by implanting a seed of discontent in the hearts of the British people.
An attempt to cripple our peoples bond in the current war on Terror in the Middle East.
That's what I'm thinking.
What do you think?
