They hate you because of me - Today is the eighth annual day of prayer for our Christian brothers and sisters facing persecution around the globe today.
Join me in prayer today.
My prayer today:
Heavenly Father,You are righteous and above all other gods. Thank you for the blessings which You have bestowed upon me. Thank you for sending Your Son, my Savior, so that I might know freedom from sin and shame.
You've placed me in a country, Lord, that has honored my freedom to worship you openly, but I know so many other brothers and sisters across the world are not so free. For them naming the name of Christ means inviting persecution and yet they to do not shy away from the Name above all names and instead cling all the more to Jesus.
Thank You for their witness. Thank You for their faith, Father.
Today, Father, my prayer for them is strength and peace. Grant to them the strength of Jesus as he walked this earth ministering and witnessing of Your plan for salvation. Send to them the peace which passes understanding so that in the midst of their trials they will know from Whom their strength comes.
May their witness shine as a city upon a hill, Father, so that men might be drawn to Christ and saved from darkness, sin, and the second death.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
Amen.
The Great Separation continues.
