What are you waiting for? - On the front page of my paper this morning was an article by William R. Levesque for the St. Petersburg Times titled, 'Who there would take Terri's place?'
Levesque interviewed Michael Schiavo. Of interest I found that Mr. Schiavo has invited Governor Jeb Bush to come and visit with Terri:
Schiavo said Tuesday in a rare interview that he would gladly allow Bush to visit his wife, Terri Schiavo, at the Pinellas Park hospice where she lives to see her condition.
And:
"He was 20 minutes away from Terri on Saturday" in Seminole and didn't stop by the hospice, Schiavo said. "Lawmakers shouldn't be in this. They should not be butting their nose in private family matters."
My question is why doesn't Gov. Bush take Mr. Schiavo up on the offer? Mr. Schiavo claims to have made the offer before too.
Of the legislation that so many of our leaders are trying to get quickly passed to keep Mrs. Schiavo from being ordered to starve to death, Mr. Schiavo said:
"They're all pandering to the religious groups and the antiabortion groups and the Christian Coalition," said Schiavo, 41, a registered nurse. "They're doing this for votes.
"There's not one person up there who would say, "I would take Terri's place.' I'd like to see who would. Who there would take Terri's place?"
I would like to see at least one of the politicians take him up on the offer.
I'm praying that the Lord Jesus would step into this situation and into the lives of all involved.
As a reminder, Bryan at The Narrow, has posted that here is a call for fasting and prayer this Friday.
