- What event is taking place in the opening of this chapter? Is it significant? Why or why not.
- What do you learn about the relationship of Christ and Mary from the exchange in verses 3 through 8?
- What is the significance of this first miraculous sign?
- Are there any other parallels to the life of Christ in the wedding story?
- Who did Jesus run out of the temple courts? Verses 14,15.
- Why did Jesus run these men out of the temple courts?/li>
- What is the significance of verse 17?
- Why do you think the Jews demanded a miraculous sign of Christ in verse 18?
- What was Jesus answer to the Jews and what did He mean? Verses 19-22.
- Why was it that Christ would not "entrust himself" to the people who believed in Him? Verses 23-25.
