"Family in dispute over fate of 81-year-old whose granddaughter cut off nourishment."
This particular story is even worse in one way because this woman is not in a PVR state. Not comatose. And not terminally. She's just old and her granddaughter thinks it's time she goes home with "Jesus."
The woman's name is Mae Magourik.
The granddaughter had her transferred from the hospital where she needed work for an aorta dissection to hospice where she began starving and withholding liquids from grandma.
I'm really beginning to think of Hospice as one sick organization bent on euthanizing anyone they can get their claws into. Don't start sending me hate comments. I know the orgs done some good in the past but more and more I think they've lost there way.
Any way, swing over to WND and read their series of articles on this poor woman's plight. The granddaughter who didn't have medical guardianship has been using the courts to get her way and now she has forbade the sister and brother from visiting their sister in the hospital where Mae now resides. There's a mess of twists and turns.
