They hate you because of me - ChristWeb has a post titled, "Christian Intolerance" which cites two examples here in America of the continuing prejudice against Christians.
I'd add to it the attitude of Democratic Party Head, Howard Dean.
In more aggressive forms of persecution there are these items:
Bryan at The Narrow posted, "Baptist Pastor Beheaded."
His post is about Dulal Sarkar, a pastor and brother in the Lord Jesus, who was recently beheaded in Bangladesh.
Bryan writes:
This is real life for our missionaries throughout the world. It is so important that we continually lift them up in prayer. As the world continues it's insolence toward God, it's up to us believers to pray for those out in the field.
AsiaNews as a host of items to consider.
The first is headlined: Saudi Arabia: 7 of jailed Christians released.
It concerns the recent crackdown on Christians in Saudi Arabia. These seven (six of whom were recently arrested) were released under the condition that they renounce their "prayer sessions and religious practices that they had been carrying out for some time in their homes."
The second headline is: Found dead pastor missing in Andhra Pradesh.
Police of Andhra Pradesh found the body of pastor Isaac Raju on June 2. A bag containing Pastor Raju's body was found near a drainage canal on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the state capital, 1,500 kilometers south of New Delhi.
Raju, 40, went missing on May 24: his family went to the local police to report him as missing on the night of disappearance. Sam Paul, national secretary of the All India Christian Council, said: “We suspect Reverend Raju was kidnapped by Hindu fundamentalists” and urge the police to take immediate action to trace him.
The third and final headline today from AsiaNews is: Authorities to tear down 109 homes belonging to Christian Tribals in Orissa.
A Hindu fundamentalist group is behind the measure. “Fundamentalists are continuously plotting schemes to instil terror in the minds of these poor folks,” says Bishop Bilung. With the monsoons on their way, evicted Tribals do not have time to find shelter.
Lift these needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ up before the throne God the Father.
The Great Separation continues.
