What's with you! - For the last hour I've been driven nuts by this female tearing around the house bemoaning how nice a day it is outside for her to be stuck inside.
So I opened the door and said, "Okay, so go out and enjoy yourself."
She sat there and stared at me through half slit eyes, shut her mouth, and didn't move.
I closed the door and went to work on the computer.
She followed me into my work space moments later crying yet again about being in the house.
I said, "I held the door for you and you just looked at me."
I got up and went to the door again. She followed, made for the door, and then turned at the last minute for her chair.
Frustration must have flickered across my face because she smiled and closed her eyes, tilting her head ever so slightly.
I held the door open and said, "Look, you want to go, so go. I don't have time to play your feminine games."
She didn't move. I shook my head and went back to work.
Over the next half hour she periodically stepped quietly in on me only to blast me again about wanting to be outside rather than inside.
When she started messing with my precariously stacked books I tried for a third time to get her to leave me alone and go outside.
Again she gave a similar response to my first two attempts to please.
I growled something. I don't know what it was, but I'm certain it wasn't nice cause she left me alone.
For five minutes.
The books began to teeter and her voice was raised to a higher level of frustration. A level that for some magical reason multiplies the urge in me to obey.
Again, I went to the door and this time she didn't hesitate but whisked right past.
Sometimes, I feel like I only exist for the finer sex's amusement. No matter which species they claim.
