Final days? - First, I think it's imperative to recognize that we've been in the "Final Days" since Christ returned to the throne after His redemptive sacrifice upon the tree over two-thousand years ago.
That said, looking at what's taking place in the world right now, particularly in regard to Israel, it would seem to indicate the season we are coming into during the "Final Days."
I agree with what Michael Gallaugher wrote:
I believe we are living in the last days, and that judgement day is coming very soon. Every man and woman is going to owe God an explanation for every word, deed and thought done in this life. Today is the day to repent from personal sin, and look to God for restoration. God can heal anyone willing to confess their sin to Him. If He can forgive me — the least of the least — He can forgive ANYONE.
What is particularly interesting to me is how the world is reacting to all that's taking place right now.
With all that's going on it appears that one of the hottest topics is a picture of Princess Diana dead that some Italian paper published for a French author about to release a book on the subject of her tragic death. I say it's a hot topic because it's sending my meager stats through the roof right now because of this post back in 2004, "Why Did CBS Air Princess Diana's Dying Pictures?"
The subject of Princess Diana just seems odd balanced against such items as:
Hezbollah rockets rain on Jewish state
'It's War,' Israelis Say
Iran warns Israel of 'fierce response'
Israel imposes sea and air blockade on Lebanon
Over 700 Katyusha rockets and mortar shells have been fired on northern Israel....
200,000+ now staying in bomb shelters....
When I look at those headlines and articles and then see such things as the following items I can't but think that the world is blinded to the spiritual battles and movements taking place.
Superman star has tantrum after make-up made him look 'wimpy'.
Police say gays accused of slurs in Provincetown....
When I say blinded, I mean to the truth as revealed in God's word about the end of time.
I think the world senses a spiritual conflict but the result is a focus shy of truth. The entertainment world has been alight the last couple seasons with what I would call spiritual programing.
Things like Ghost Whisperer, and Medium.
Looking at a post on Babylon 5 ISN News reinforced this to me.
....The new series include DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, from executive producer Burnett, a one-hour conspiracy thriller from executive producer/writer Jonas McCord (Earth: Final Conflict), about a theology professor who finds himself in the world of secret societies, religious espionage and genetic research. He is hired by a corporation to form a team of "devil's advocates" to explore bizarre cases.
From Edlund comes WITCH DOCTOR, a comedic drama that centers on a man who finds himself endowed with amazing healing powers, which opens him up to a magical world....
Such programing I think echoes a growing concern and interest of the public at large with the "there's got to be something out there" thought.
Don't be mistaken, Satan will use such programing to mislead and confuse. Even the "elect."
