He was referring to those Christians who flit from bright light to bright light. Never constant in their walk. Be it some fabulous Christian preacher or some other thing they see as a bright star in their life.
You might say they are easily dissatisfied.
I imagine that eventually - if you take the metaphor to it's conclusion - they hit a bright light that turns out not to be a light bulb but a flame and they get their wings burned off, if not worse.
