Question of the day: "Gay" Pride Parades.

Proud to be happy? - Here's a question today that occurred to me while mowing my church's lawn.

It comes in light of the fact that there was a parade in my area of St. Petersburg today that celebrated the sin of men having sex with men and women having sex with women. Otherwise known by the euphemism "Gay Pride Parade."

Now a euphemism for those who do not know is defined as such:

The act or an example of substituting a mild, indirect, or vague term for one considered harsh, blunt, or offensive.

The Serpent behind the sin of sodomy movement is adept at using the euphemism.

Anyway, my question is would these parades that take pride in sin take place if no one bothered to protest or cover the parades?

Christian Persecution in the West.

They hate you because of me - Here's two interesting news items that I think fall into the Christian persecution category but they take place in the Western World.

UK schools: Christian chastity ring no, Muslim hijab yes. Can you imagine a school saying no to a girl's chastity ring because it's a Christian symbol, but turning around and saying that the full length Islamic hijab outfit for a Muslim girl is okay? I can and I think it revovles around fear or what Muslims would do if you denied them to wear the outfit. Of course there's no worry about what Christians would do because they are for the majority peaceful.

Pastors Settle 'Vilifying Islam' Case: I've followed this item for some time because of what it means for freedom of religion and freedom of speech. It's a news item worth looking into.

News Items To Note.

What's going on? - I seem to be occupied of late with items drawing me away from posting here this week in a regular fashion.

But this morning, with the aid of some Dove Dark Chocolate and two cups of Joe, I sat and perused the news. So here are the interesting items I hit upon. I round them up here for you to cogitate upon.

Chinese honey now reported among import dangers: The stuff is apparently laced with a dangerous antibiotic. Oh, joy.

People born homosexual, say local school officials: minus any evidence from scientists or doctors a school district in Maryland has made the decision to start teaching school children that people are born with the genetic preposition to have sexual relations with same sex partners. If they have the ability to make such a "leap of faith" I believe that someone should lobby to teach a class on the fact that humans are born sinners and how God the Father in His love made a provision to put to death that nature in man granting man a new nature.

Hindu Prayer Will Open Senate Session in July: not all that unexpected from a group of men and women who stand for their wish-washy selves and not upon the absolutes of Christ and the Father in heaven.

Karnataka, a priest and four Christians are beaten: interesting to see this report after reading the report about the Hindu prayer in the Senate. These Christian brothers were in a medical waiting room waiting to get a checkup when a group of Hindus attacked them. Here's a snippet:

While they were waiting, the five were subjected to insults from four Hindu nationalists, who accused them of attempting to convert the local population to Christianity by illegal means. The accusations passed to violence when the assailers grabbed Fr. Pereira by the throat and threw him down a flight of stairs. They then jumped on him, kicking and punching him.

Finally - "America's Rabbi" Warns: "Enormous, Humanic and Historic Upheaval" Rapidly Approaching: Christian leaders aren't the only folk worried that God is disappointed with the debased American culture and what judgement might be brought upon us.

Men and Women Revel in Sodomy in Jerusalem on Summer Solstice.

Futility rules their minds. - Stacy at Active Christian Media, gets the hat tip for this item. She recently returned from a trip to Israel and one of the current affairs she witnessed first hand was how the Jewish people felt about the possibility of a "gay pride parade" in the Holy city of Jerusalem.

So when the men who wallow in sex with other men and the women who wallow in sex with other women finally got to parade their sin down the streets of Jerusalem this past week it naturally got a lot of attention in several corners of the blog world, both Godly corners and ungodly corners.

Those who promote this sin and demand that all others accept it and promote it too, are of course claiming a victory in silencing the large majority of the citizens in Jerusalem. It's odd to me and terribly sad that a man or woman would have gotten to the point where their shame is so seared and their minds become so darkened by their willful sin that they would basically raise themselves above God the Father.

A blog that Stacy referenced called, Bird's Eye View, had a interesting view on the incident. The parade of sin took place on the summer Solstice which is a big day for pagans. Interesting link I think between the two groups of people, all in need of the saving power of the Messiah.

One other thought that I've had concerning the parade of sin in Jerusalem is that it, in many ways, foretells the nearing of the return of Christ when He will come to judge the world with the Sword of His Word. Foretells, because we know from scripture that sin will be increasingly more accepted and glorified in the latter days.

My hope is that those trapped in the sin of sinful sex and lust and those who have raised themselves as being greater than God the Father will be freed from those chains of sin and death.

I hope they come to the revelation of how much God loves them and desires for them to seek Christ as Savior and to turn, through Christ's power, from their sins and find freedom, grace, and peace living the Father's will.

This first one is with some of the group. I'm on the far left. When I first saw this picture I asked myself who that little kid was standing right in front of me. Then I realized it was an illusion from my LOUD shorts and the bundle I had under my arm!

This one is me under water.

This is what I believe is called a Cormoran. I probably don't have the spelling right for this water fowl. But he's got a great perch.

And finally, here is a real live river inhabitant. A bass I think.

Christians in Pakistan Attacked with Axes.

They hate you because of me - What a blessing it is to know the Lord Jesus and be secure in Him in spite of the attacks by Satan and those he masters.

Case in point is the attack upon Christians by Muslims in Pakistan. A Salvation Army church had secured the okay from authorities to hold an evangelistic meeting but the meeting was stopped by a mob of Muslim men wielding sticks and axes. Seven Christians were injured to the point of exposed bones.

Pray for the attackers that the Holy Spirit would strive with them and bring them to repentance and salvation through Christ. Pray too for our brothers and sisters suffering for naming the name of Christ.

Christians in Palestine Diminishing Under Persecution.

They hate you because of me - Maybe such news is lost among the Main Stream Media, or perhaps such news is of the type the Main Stream Media doesn't want to report, but if the tree falls in the forest it still makes a sound.

With all the news of late on the civil war taking place in Palestine it appears that news of the militant Islamic factions taking the oportunity to attack Christians somehow got overlooked by the big networks.

From News Blaze:

The Palestinian paper Al-Ayyam reported that "Armed masked men... stole, destroyed and burned down a monastery and a church school in Gaza, after they bombed the main gate with RPG shells... they destroyed the main gate of the monastery with an RPG shell, and then entered the church and destroyed everything in the monastery: The crosses, the holy books, computers and photocopy machines." They appeared to be members of Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades, however, the Hamas has directed the blame at the Palestinian Authority police.

Further evidence of what our brothers and sisters in Christ are suffering in this Muslim controlled state is found on the Persecution Blog.

The current government has issued the following rules:

1. Fullly [sic] submit to Islam ritual law.

2. Hamas rules mean real changes...submit to them to live in peace.

3. Missionary activity (trying to convert Muslims to Christ) will not be tolerated and those who engage in it will be harshly punished.

4. No more alcohol consumption.

5. A new military wing will be monitoring you.

Cure for Iraq is Not Islam nor Democracy.

Stench of sin and death rises... - I contend that America and her allies did the right thing by going to Iraq and eliminating a monster pervert with a genocidal heart. Sadly the country has so long been in darkness that the blind continue to trek upon the course their leader set them.

Case in point this CBS news story, Iraqi Orphanage Nightmare:

Inside the building, a government-run orphanage for special needs children, the soldiers found more emaciated little bodies tied to the cribs. They had been kept this way for more than a month, according to the soldiers called in to rescue the 24 boys.

"I saw children that you could see literally every bone in their body that were so skinny, they had no energy to move whatsoever, no expression on their face," Staff Sgt. Michael Beale said.

If a people would so treat those among them who can not help themselves, how black is the heart of that country?

Democracy can not cure such a condition in man. No form of government can. Islam can't either because it's a religion based upon works, control, and offers no cure for sin and man's fallen state.

The only cure is true faith in Christ and the unconditional love that God the Father empowers believers with through His Holy Spirit.

And the dominions and strongholds in Iraq and the Middle East are square set against such faith.

Thankfully our military was there to save these children. I hope though that once they are given back to the Iraqi people that they do not find themselves in similar circumstances.

UN Secretary General Places Blame of Genocide in Darfur on Climate!

Be afraid. Be very afraid. - This should be laughable. In fact, it would be wonderful if someone would just laugh in Ban Ki-moon's face.

Climate change behind Darfur killing: UN's Ban.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the slaughter in Darfur was triggered by global climate change and that more such conflicts may be on the horizon, in an article published Saturday.

Talk about the epitome of transference and me-ism. Placing the blame in part for genocide on the climate and not those who did the murdering.

The UN's noodle must be cooked from the top down.

Episcopal Priest States it's Possible to be Both Muslim and Christian.

Walking away from Christ - Here is more evidence that the Episcopal Church of USA has left their First Love and sought out the worship of demons.

Dhimmi Watch: Seattle Episcopal priest: "I am both Muslim and Christian"; bishop "finds the interfaith possibilities exciting".

Redding, who until recently was director of faith formation at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral, has been a priest for more than 20 years. Now she's ready to tell people that, for the last 15 months, she's also been a Muslim — drawn to the faith after an introduction to Islamic prayers left her profoundly moved.

Redding's Bishop finds nothing wrong with her claim to be both a believer in Islam and Christianity. Though neither she nor her overseer offers a means to reconcile the fact that Christianity states that Christ is divine and the Son of God and Islam claims that Christ is not divine nor the Son of God.

But Redding doesn't appear to consider such details as that as important:

"At the most basic level, I understand the two religions to be compatible. That's all I need."

I suppose it should be no surprise that this would come from the Episcopal denomination where Wicca has been embraced in some quarters along with the sin of men having sex with men and women having sex with women.

In the last days many will fall away.
